Security Supervisor Initial

The Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998 states what competencies persons who directly supervise persons performing security screenings must have.

During this Security Supervisor course, you will gain an understanding of security culture, communication, reporting, advising and investigating security incidents. The Security Supervisor is also expected to be able to act as a mentor to  employees and screeners. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.  This certificate is valid for 1 year and a refresher course must be completed in time in order to maintain validity. A refresher course can be taken up to 3 months before the current certificate expires.

Course participants are also required to take a CITO exam. Upon passing this exam (with a minimum score of 80%), the student will receive a CITO certificate. This certificate is valid for 5 years and must be renewed before the expiration date.

This course has been approved by the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security.

Please note!

Before starting the course, you must be in possession of a valid VGB (Certificate of No Objection), Air Cargo Screener certificate and Air Cargo Employee certificate. Prior to the course, the VGB and your ID will be checked. If you do not have a valid VGB and ID, you may not attend the course.
